BScRT Teaching Cases Project

The Radiation Therapy Program is working on a project to acquire real clinical cases of the most common malignancies, processes and procedures that are found in radiation therapy. These cases will be collected and then anonymized.  Once anonymized they will be used to prepare and educate learners from a variety of areas including the BScRT program as well as oncology practitioners, undergraduate medical learners and current practitioners through continuous professional development.

The Radiation Therapy Program spearheaded this project along side the FoMD Learning Design Studio. The project team is working collaboratively with Alberta Health Services Cancer Care Alberta clinical radiation therapists to identify patients who meet the project criteria and would potentially be willing to help in this project.  Patients have already come forward and given their consent.  The Radiation Therapy Program is extremely grateful to all of the participants who have volunteered their health information for educational purposes.
