Students attending medical schools within Canada
If you are a Canadian undergraduate medical student who has completed the basic sciences (pre-clinical) aspects of your curriculum, consider the electives available in the Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry. Please view the visiting student electives section for complete details on elective opportunities at the University of Alberta.
Students attending medical schools outside of Canada
Due to changes in policies and lack of availability of training positions at the University of Alberta, the Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry is only able to accept medical elective students studying at an LCME (Liason Committee on Medical Education) accredited medical school or where a bilateral exchange has been established.
