Dear colleague,

It has been 100 working days since I started as dean of the Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry, and I can report that it has been a privilege to join this vibrant community and to play a role in shaping its future.

My time with the Faculty thus far has shown me that we have a rich pool of talented individuals who are committed to excellence and ready to face the challenges ahead. I am convinced that the Faculty is well placed to lead the University of Alberta into the top 20 publicly funded universities by 2020.

These past few months have been both challenging and stimulating, and I am proud of what you have all managed to achieve in such a short time.

Here are just a few highlights of my first 100 working days.

Very best wishes,
Yours,
Philip Baker

Dr. Philip Baker, Dean
