History of Medicine Program
Established in 2004 as a shared initiative between the Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry and the Faculty of Arts.

To promote interest in the history of medicine through education and research.

Activities:
- Elective course for Year 1 and Year 2 medical students yearly (see UME electives catalogue)
- A Day for the History of Medicine at U of A - A yearly day of abstract presentations from students of history of medicine from any faculty at the U of A. The next Day will be Saturday, March 31, 2012 and will be held in Classroom D of the WMC. The AMS Guest Speaker will be Dr. Geoff Hudson of the Northern Ontario School of Medicine.
- Participation in other activities involving History of Medicine as opportunities arise.
