Human Resources

Human Resources in the Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry at the University of Alberta provides day-to-day services to all staff within the Dean's Administration, including:

  • Offering general employment information.
  • Processing academic appointments.
  • Making tenure, promotion and merit increment recommendations.
  • Reviewing and approving all support staff job fact sheets over grade 6.
  • Creating person ID's and processing CCID's.
  • Leave reporting.
  • Terminations.
  • Providing administrative human resource support to Faculty units that do not have an Administrative Professional Officer available for these duties.
  • Liaising with the Provost and various areas within the University of Alberta's central Human Resource Services office.
